July 2026 Updates

Writing Updated:

Spark is in the final edits stage, and its e-book cover is done! My cover designer, Catherine, is hard at work on the full cover, and it will be ready by the time pre-orders are ready to drop on Halloween! As soon as I’m done with the final edits, I’ll move on to drafting Counting Shards.

The first entries of Inside Vault-Tec and A Deer in a Spotlight are available on AO3! Full disclosure, A Deer in a Spotlight was originally going to be titled “A Deer in Headlights.” I still prefer the original name, but as I sat down to post the first chapter, I remembered there are no cars in Naruto. I’m a bit torn up about it, but c'est la vie.

Reading Updates:

Since my last post, I’ve finished Under the Dome by Stephen King, Love on the Brain by Ali Hazelwood, and The Ridge Between Us by Bailey Breanne. Since we’ve settled into our new home, I’ve had much more time to read! I’m still playing a bit of catch up to hit my yearly goals, but I think I’ll get there.

Personal Updates:

We still have a bit of unpacking to do, but we’re all finally getting settled into our new home! It’s definitely starting to feel more like our home and less like we’re living in someone else’s house. I don’t know if other people have that problem when they move, but I did. I lived in the same house for the bulk of 2008 - 2026. There were little breaks in the middle, sure, but for the most part, you could’ve found me in that house in those years. It’s a relief to start to feel like I belong in our new home.
