February Updates

Welcome back!

Writing Updates:

Smoke has been put through the wringer with my beta readers, and I am now working on the final edits! Once I’ve finished editing and the cover design has been completed, we’ll be ready to publish! You can expect to see Smoke available on Amazon on March 13th!

I’m still outlining Spark, but once I’ve finished Smoke, it’ll go much faster. Counting Shards is fully outlined, and I’ll start drafting it once I’ve finished fleshing out Spark.

In my (very tiny amounts of) free time, I’m researching and compiling notes on all of the vaults from the Fallout universe. I’ll work on these sparingly and in between novels.

Reading Updates:

So far this year, I’ve read Twisted Love and Twisted Games by Ana Huang as well as Half His Age by Jeanette McCurdy. The Twisted series is one of my favorites, so I re-read them when I have too many projects going (always) or when I’m in a slump. Half His Age made me really uncomfortable and was difficult to read, but that isn’t a bad thing in this instance. The book covers uncomfortable topics that arise when a girl is trying to come of age in an unstable environment with little-to-no parental guidance or supervision. I’m not going to re-read it, but I do believe it should be read at least once.

You can see what I’m reading and when by following me on StoryGraph! While you’re there, be sure to check out my reading challenge for 2026!

Personal Updates:

I’m taking things one day at a time. I’m trying to be consistent in working on my projects and spending time with my family. Everything else just feels like filler at this point.

See you next month!
