March 2026 Updates
Welcome back!
Writing Updates:
Smoke has had a slight delay with the cover, so it’ll be pushed out to March 31st.
The first draft for Spark is in the works! I’m only a couple of chapters in, but it’s going really well so far! I think you can expect to see it by the end of the year, but don’t hold me to that.
I definitely still want to do the Fallout stories, but I’m a little short on time these days (see personal updates).
Reading Updates:
Since my last post, I’ve read Twisted Hate, Twisted Lies, The Samurai’s Garden by Gail Tsukiyama, and You by Caroline Kepnes. After I wrapped up my annual re-read of the Twisted series, I wanted to break out of the romance rut I’d been in. Don’t get me wrong, I love both fluffy sweetness and filthy smut as much as the next girl, but I wanted to expand my selection.
The Samurai’s Garden was a beautiful story, exceptionally well-written, and definitely different from what I normally read. It was written in the 90s and set in the 30s, and it follows a Chinese man on vacation in Japan during a time the two countries are at war. There are romantic elements, but it’s a much wider scope. Definitely a 10/10 read for me.
You was also very good, and I loved seeing how the book differed from the show. I’m currently reading Incidents Around the House by Josh Malerman. If that name sounds familiar to you, it’s because he’s the man who traumatized the world with Bird Box. This book is definitely keeping me up at night, so if you love a good horror novel, you should definitely check it out!
You can see what I’m reading and when by following me on StoryGraph! While you’re there, be sure to check out my reading challenge for 2026!
Personal Updates:
We’re house shopping! Nothing is set in stone yet, but I’m hopefully and praying that this goes well for us. If any of you have shopped for a home before, you know how exhausting and time consuming it can be, so I appreciate the patience.
The crochet page is gone from my site. It’s still something I love to do, but it’s not cost effective or time effective to try and pursue currently. That may change in the future, but for now, it’s back to being just a hobby for me :)
Also, I made a TikTok! Feel free to come see me there for more regular updates.
See you next month!
