September 2026 Updates

Welcome back!

Writing Updates:

Spark is entirely done! ARC applications for it are open, and ARC readers will get their copies on December 1st. Applications to be an ARC reader are open! Counting Shards is in the drafting stage! I’m almost 25% of the way through the first draft, so we’re right on schedule for a June 2027 release.

Inside Vault-Tec has a new installment: Vault 11! A Deer in a Spotlight has four chapters up as of writing this, and the fifth will be posted sometime next week. All of my fanfics can be found on AO3!

I’ve started a Kofi page where you can get early access to all of my fanfics as well as bonus chapters for my books! One chapter will be posted here each month, but the other page will have two additional bonus chapters every month!

Reading Updates:

Since my last post, I’ve read: The Chalice of the Gods and Wrath of the Triple Goddess by Rick Riordan; Birds in Flight by Anni Taylor; and Branded and Roped by Saffron A. Kent. Of all the books I read this month, the Percy Jackson books have been my favorite. They hold a good bit of nostalgia for me since it’s continuing the story I started in middle school. Percy remains as funny and sarcastic as always; watching him struggle with things I also went through just a few years ago (albeit with much higher stakes) is giving me joy in a way I didn’t know I needed.

I also just started reading Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman, so here’s hoping the humor continues!

Personal Updates:

I still have unpacking to do, but it’s starting to seem much more manageable. Or I’m just more relaxed about it since I just got back from the beach. Who can say?

We just returned from our annual family vacation, and this year we went to Panama City Beach! The water was gorgeous, the food was incredible, and I haven’t been this relaxed since… Well, since our family vacation last year. I have two new tattoos (a Junimo and a sand dollar that matches my mom’s). My biggest stressor at the moment is trying to market my books, so if you have any advice, please let me know!
